That meant that buying the uniforms, shoes, etc. would only have cost me money and not paid for anyhing. Cheering in college would have been fun, but would not have given me time to have a job and do my class work. My High School Cheer Coach helped me hook up with a local Cheer Scholarship of less than $1000. Which, while appreciated, didn't put a dent into the cost of a private college education. I made the decision to focus on academics for scholarship money and get the degree I needed for my now successful career. So, my advice for you is to decide where you want to go to college first, then ask the college, High School and competative squads if they have any scholarships.
